This unique, hand hewn house is a
combination of the original Kleinschmidt
homestead and a barn which was
located about eight miles from the ranch.
Both buildings were constructed in the mid
1880's when this portion of the Blackfoot
valley was originally settled. The Krutar sons spent
three years completely restoring the two buildings into a grand house
with the distinctive flavor of yesteryear, combined with all of today's modern conveniences. The lumber for the reconstruction
was
logged from and milled on this ranch.
